Day 2: The Journey pt 2

We made it. Oh man. Long drive. I'm very tired, so this will be a shorter post.

Tonight we're staying with Myles' family before getting our legs under ourselves tomorrow. The drive was not a difficult one, just, as stated above, long. We left Quebec City at around 11:30 this morning and quickly got onto the Trans Canada highway- the road that would be pretty much the only one we were on today. The drive through rural Quebec certainly had some great scenery and awesome poutine (with bacon even!) But that scenery got about a million times more beautiful when we crossed into New Brunswick, or as we nicknamed it; "The Bruny!" If you ever have the chance to drive the trans-can through NB, I highly recommend it. Endless hills, lakes, forests and mountains, with the setting sun as their backdrop, enthralled us as we made our way through the first of the Maritime provinces we'd encounter. We ditched the satellite radio in favour of a few of the cassettes Brad had in the car. Frank, The Beatles and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers' Blood Sugar Sex Magic, blastded through our speakers and through the mountains of "The Bruny."

By the time we finally reached the province we'll be filming most in, Nova Scotia, it was already dark. We haven't really seen much of this province today apart from twisting roads and trees, but we will. Tomorrow we'll be lining up interviews and prepping our gear before we start filming, and I will be blogging in depth about the subject matter of our documentary, but tonight, we're all too tired for any of that.

Time for sleep, more pictures tomorrow, or you can check out my instagram (BrisleyAdams).
Sleep tight, The Bruny's a beauty.

    1. I haven't yet, but I'd love to just drive across the whole country if I could!
